Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB), the country’s largest private-sector bank, has partnered with Majid Al Futtaim and Visa to launch the co-branded CIB SHARE Visa credit cards.

The new cards are designed to enhance customers’ everyday shopping and lifestyle experiences by offering convenient payment options and rewards across spending categories including retail, groceries, dining, entertainment and more.

Cardholders can earn up to 8% cashback on spending within the Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem and 1% cashback on other purchases, with rewards issued as SHARE points. The benefits extend across major destinations including Mall of Egypt, City Centre malls and Carrefour, as well as entertainment venues such as VOX Cinemas, Ski Egypt and Magic Planet.

Welcome Rewards and Lifestyle Benefits

Customers can receive welcome points after activating the card and making purchases, with three card categories available to suit different spending patterns.

Additional benefits include complimentary cinema tickets and popcorn at VOX Cinemas, free delivery for Carrefour Online grocery orders, dedicated checkout counters at Carrefour and premium parking spaces at Majid Al Futtaim malls.

The cards also provide discounts on Majid Al Futtaim’s Hands-Free Shopping service, along with complimentary games and special discounts at Magic Planet and Ski Egypt.

Yasser Abdullah, Executive Vice President of Retail and Commercial Banking at CIB, said the partnership with Majid Al Futtaim and Visa reflects the bank’s commitment to digital transformation and delivering greater value to customers across their everyday spending.

Darren Taylor, Senior Vice President of the SHARE Rewards Program and Customer Solutions at Majid Al Futtaim, said the new cards allow customers to earn greater rewards across shopping, dining and leisure activities.

According to Majid Al Futtaim, the cards offer cashback of up to 8% across more than 3,500 stores and four malls in Egypt: Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Alexandria and City Centre Maadi, in addition to 1% cashback on purchases outside the network.

Malak El Baba, Visa’s Vice President and Country Manager for Egypt, Libya and Sudan, said the partnership combines Visa’s global digital payment technology and acceptance network with CIB’s banking expertise and Majid Al Futtaim’s retail and entertainment ecosystem.

The companies said the launch aims to make digital payments more closely connected to consumers’ daily activities while providing additional rewards, convenience and value.
