VALU Completes EGP 945.8 Million Securitized Bond Issuance
VALU, a leading universal financial technology company in the Middle East and North Africa, has successfully completed its 23rd securitized bond issuance, worth EGP 945.8 million, in partnership with EFG Hermes, the investment banking arm of EFG Holding.
The transaction represents the fourth issuance under VALU’s eighth securitization program, which has a total value of EGP 10 billion.
The 13-month bond is backed by a portfolio of receivables assigned to EFG for Securitization, a special purpose vehicle established for the issuance. The transaction is structured as a single tranche and carries an AA- credit rating.
Kareem Riad, Chief Financial Officer of VALU, said the latest issuance represents another milestone in the company’s growth journey, highlighting the strength of its financial position, balance sheet, and operational performance. He added that strong investor demand reflects continued confidence in VALU’s debt issuances and supports the company’s strategy for sustainable growth.
Mai Hamdy, Managing Director of Debt Capital Markets at EFG Hermes, said the successful transaction demonstrates the strength of VALU’s underlying portfolio and its financial fundamentals, while highlighting continued institutional demand for its debt offerings.
EFG Hermes acted as the sole financial advisor, sole transaction manager, bookrunner, underwriter, and arranger for the issuance. Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy provided legal counsel, while Baker Tilly served as the auditor.
The latest transaction reflects VALU’s continued execution of its securitization strategy, using structured financing solutions to support its growth plans, diversify funding sources, and strengthen its long-standing partnership with EFG Hermes in the debt capital markets.
