Collective Gains Led by "QNB" and "CIB" Tops Trading Values

Banking sector stocks recorded balanced gains at the start of trading, with Qatar National Bank (QNB) leading the gainers list, rising 1.79% to reach EGP 59.04. The stock recorded a trading value of EGP 875.379 thousand through 14.839 thousand shares traded.

"Housing & Development Bank" and "ADIB" in Top Positions

Housing & Development Bank ranked second on the gainers list, up 1.75% to reach EGP 106.18, with liquidity reaching EGP 1.341 million across 12.646 thousand shares. It was followed by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB) in third place, rising 1.20% to reach EGP 49.59, with turnover reaching EGP 5.380 million across 108.497 thousand shares.

Steady Movements for "CIB", Export Development Bank, and Al Baraka

Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) came fourth with a 0.95% increase, reaching EGP 127.5, while capturing the largest share of liquidity at EGP 30.175 million across 237.065 thousand shares. Egyptian Export Development Bank rose 0.38% to reach EGP 21, with turnover reaching EGP 1.729 million across 82.212 thousand shares. It was followed by Al Baraka Bank - Egypt, which gained 0.14% to reach EGP 22.19, with trading values reaching EGP 794.541 thousand across 35.79 thousand shares.

5 Banking Stocks Remain Unchanged

In contrast to the gains, stability prevailed over the performance of 5 banking stocks with no price movement at the opening of the session, namely: The United Bank, Credit Agricole Egypt, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (EGP), Egyptian Gulf Bank (EGBANK), and Suez Canal Bank.
