The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), the regulatory body affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem. The strategic partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and support the development of innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the real estate sector.

The agreement was formalized during the Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LivEx 2026) in Abu Dhabi. According to the Emirates News Agency, the collaboration is designed to bridge the gap between the real estate industry and tech startups, providing innovators with a tangible platform to develop, test, and deploy practical solutions within the local market.

Empowering Startups and Validating Solutions

The partnership establishes a comprehensive framework to identify pressing industry challenges and connect relevant startups with opportunities to pilot their solutions. Through potential pilot projects, tech founders will be able to test their products in real-world scenarios, validating their effectiveness and ensuring market fit.

Furthermore, the collaboration encompasses developing specific technology use cases, exploring long-term business partnerships, and granting startups direct access to collaborate with government entities and key industry stakeholders in a practical, operational environment.

Strategic Integration and Market Access

Under the terms of the MoU, ADREC will pinpoint the core challenges and strategic priorities within the real estate sector, working closely with Hub71 to match these pain points with the most capable and relevant startups. ADREC will also nominate promising startups from its own network to participate in and benefit from Hub71’s specialized programs, offering its deep industry expertise to help select solutions that best align with market demands.

For startups, this strategic alliance unlocks direct access to a highly regulated and lucrative real estate market. It provides them with the unique opportunity to test their technologies on the ground, engage with key decision-makers and corporate partners, and refine their products to perfectly address real-world industry needs.
