National Bank of Kuwait Egypt Launches Apple Pay for Customers
National Bank of Kuwait Egypt, part of the National Bank of Kuwait Group, has launched Apple Pay for its customers, allowing them to use bank cards for fast, secure and contactless payments through Apple devices at retail stores and within apps.
NBK Egypt Cards on Apple Wallet
The service enables customers to add their National Bank of Kuwait Egypt cards to Apple Wallet and make payments without using the physical bank card, providing a digital payment option through Apple devices.
Customers can add their cards through the NBK Egypt mobile banking app by accessing the banking service, selecting “More,” then “Manage My Cards,” choosing the card they want to add to Apple Wallet, and selecting “Add to Apple Wallet.” They can then accept the terms and conditions to complete registration.
Adding Cards Across Apple Devices
Cards can also be added directly through the Apple Wallet app on iPhone. Customers can select a debit or credit card, scan the card or enter its details manually, and complete the verification process, including entering the verification code sent by SMS to the mobile number registered with the bank.
The service also supports adding cards to Apple Watch by opening Apple Wallet on the watch, selecting the option to add a card and completing verification. Cards can also be linked to Mac and iPad devices through Wallet & Apple Pay settings, followed by the required verification steps.
Contactless Payments and Digital Purchases
Apple Pay allows NBK Egypt customers to use their cards for contactless payments at retail stores and for purchases through apps, while relying on the security and authentication features associated with the service.
The launch adds Apple Pay to NBK Egypt’s existing range of card-related services, alongside online and mobile banking, SMS banking, branch services and ATM services.
