MCIT Showcases Its Vision for Women’s Digital Empowerment at the Egyptian Women Forum 2026
Leadership Presence and Honoring Inspiring Role Models
Cairo hosted the Egyptian Women Forum 2026, featuring broad participation from prominent female leaders, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers, alongside an active presence from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). The event included panel discussions on empowering women, celebrating success stories, and presenting the "Egyptian Women Awards 2026."
Qualifying Entrepreneurs and AI Technologies
During the forum, the Ministry highlighted its plans for digital literacy and initiatives designed to train women entrepreneurs in digital marketing tools and artificial intelligence applications. It also emphasized promoting safe technology usage and raising awareness regarding privacy challenges, digital bias, and cybersecurity.
Institutional Development and Capacity Building in "Decent Life"
Regarding workforce development, the Ministry reviewed its institutional development and digital education efforts, which targeted nearly 1.4 million citizens and employees—with a special focus on villages under the presidential initiative "Decent Life" (Hayah Karima). These programs are executed through MCIT’s training arms, including the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the Information Technology Institute (ITI), the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), and Egypt Digital Innovation Hubs (Creativa).
From Usage to Leadership and Shaping the Digital Future
MCIT concluded its participation by reinforcing its strategic objective: transitioning women from mere tech beneficiaries or users into essential, leading partners in building the digital economy and shaping AI applications.
