US Dollar Holds Steady Against Egyptian Pound in Monday’s Banking Transactions
The US dollar remained broadly stable against the Egyptian pound in Monday’s banking transactions, September 28, 2026, with only limited differences in exchange rates across Egyptian banks.
The dollar recorded its highest buying rate at EGP 51.75, while the lowest selling rate stood at EGP 51.72. The average exchange rate across the banking sector remained around EGP 51.71.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank recorded the highest dollar buying rate at EGP 51.75, while its selling rate reached EGP 51.85.
At the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Commercial International Bank (CIB), Bank of Alexandria, Egyptian Gulf Bank, and Arab International Bank, the dollar was traded at EGP 51.66 for buying and EGP 51.76 for selling.
Meanwhile, Suez Canal Bank and NEXT Bank quoted the dollar at EGP 51.70 for buying and EGP 51.80 for selling. Housing and Development Bank recorded a buying rate of EGP 51.65 and a selling rate of EGP 51.75.
HSBC Egypt listed the US dollar at EGP 51.53 for buying and EGP 51.63 for selling, while Faisal Islamic Bank recorded EGP 50.87 for buying and EGP 50.97 for selling.
At Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), the dollar stood at EGP 50.82 for buying and EGP 50.92 for selling.
According to the latest figures from the Central Bank of Egypt, the US dollar stood at EGP 51.65 for buying and EGP 51.79 for selling, reflecting continued relative stability in the local foreign exchange market.
