Housing and Development Bank (HDB) topped the gains in the banking sector at the start of Sunday's trading session, rising by 2.93% to reach EGP 112.69 per share. Trading volume reached 32,387 shares with a total transaction value of EGP 3.644 million.
Notable Gains in Top Rankings
Egyptian Export Development Bank (EXPA) secured second place with a 2.57% increase, reaching EGP 22.31 per share on trading values of EGP 3.519 million across 159,167 shares. QNB Egypt followed in third place, up 1.62% to EGP 60.97 per share, generating EGP 3.231 million in trading value through 52,981 shares.
Crédit Agricole Egypt ranked fourth, gaining 1.50% to settle at EGP 24.43 per share, with trades valued at EGP 883,475 across 36,239 shares.
Continued Positive Momentum
Suez Canal Bank took fifth place with a 1.47% rise to EGP 48.19 per share, recording EGP 915,923 in trading value through 19,039 shares. Commercial International Bank (CIB) ranked sixth, rising 1.18% to EGP 129.71 per share, recording the sector’s highest trading value at EGP 38.229 million across 294,413 shares.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) Egypt came seventh, climbing 1.06% to EGP 51.54 per share on EGP 2.895 million in trading value across 56,199 shares. Al Baraka Bank Egypt followed in eighth place, up 0.43% to EGP 23.39 per share, with EGP 1.040 million traded across 44,257 shares.
Three Stocks Remain Flat
In contrast to the gains, three banking stocks remained unchanged at the start of trading: United Bank, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (in EGP), and Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (in USD).
