 Domestic gold prices in Egypt edged slightly higher in early morning trade on Sunday, September 27, 2026, rebounding modestly from closing levels recorded at the end of last week.

Globally, bullion concluded the week down approximately 2.1%, weighed down by persistent inflation anxieties, hawkish signals from Federal Reserve officials, and climbing US Treasury yields.

**Domestic Spot Prices in Egypt**
Gold prices across Egypt vary depending on workmanship fees (masna'eya) between jewelry retailers and regions. According to pricing data from the specialized market platform 'iSagha,' average spot rates—excluding making charges—stood as follows:

• **24-Karat Gold:** The purest grade traded at EGP 7,131.5 per gram for selling and EGP 7,097.25 for buying.
• **18-Karat Gold:** Stood at EGP 5,348.5 per gram for selling and EGP 5,322.75 for buying.
• **21-Karat Gold:** The primary benchmark preferred by Egyptian consumers stood at EGP 6,240 per gram for selling and EGP 6,210 for buying at the time of reporting.
• **The Gold Pound (8 grams):** Settled at EGP 49,920 for selling and EGP 49,680 for buying.
