UNDP Praises Egypt’s Digital Transformation and Digital Egypt Platform
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has praised Egypt’s experience in digital transformation, highlighting the country’s progress in developing reliable digital infrastructure and promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Egypt’s digital transformation efforts reflect a broader move toward building an integrated digital ecosystem capable of delivering more inclusive and efficient public services, while creating opportunities to exchange expertise and scalable digital solutions at both regional and international levels.
The Digital Egypt platform stands out as one of the key examples of this approach. The platform was showcased during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) after being shortlisted as a finalist for the DigitalUNGA Awards.
The platform’s selection highlights its role in using digital infrastructure and technologies to facilitate citizens’ access to government services and bring those services together within a more integrated digital ecosystem.
Egypt’s experience also demonstrates the growing role of digital solutions in improving public services, expanding access, and supporting international cooperation and knowledge exchange in digital transformation.
