Egyptian Armed Forces and MCIT Celebrate ITI Training Program Graduates
The Egyptian Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), held a graduation ceremony for a professional training program delivered to a group of military conscripts at the Information Technology Institute (ITI).
The ceremony began with a review of the training activities and outcomes, which focused on developing participants’ digital capabilities and preparing them to meet the growing demands of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Heba Saleh, Director of ITI, highlighted the importance of the program in developing human capabilities equipped to work within the rapidly evolving digital and technological ecosystem. She also noted that upcoming programs will place greater emphasis on advanced artificial intelligence and cybersecurity skills.
Major General Waleed Adly, Director of the Information Systems Department, emphasized the importance of investing in human capital and developing young people’s technical and professional skills as a key factor in Egypt’s future development.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology also congratulated the graduates, stressing that investing in young people’s digital capabilities is essential to strengthening Egypt’s digital sovereignty. This includes developing national expertise to manage digital assets, protect data, select appropriate technological solutions, and build applications and AI models using local capabilities.
The ceremony concluded with the recognition of the program’s top-performing graduates, in the presence of a number of Armed Forces leaders and ITI officials.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen young people’s digital skills, develop specialized talent, and support Egypt’s comprehensive digital transformation.
