NTI and Riyada University Sign Cooperation Protocol to Prepare Students for Future Jobs and Labor Market Needs
The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), has signed a cooperation protocol with Riyada University for Science and Technology to enhance students’ and graduates’ digital skills and prepare them for future job opportunities and the evolving needs of the labor market.
The agreement aims to provide students with specialized training in advanced technology fields, strengthen practical learning, and bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements. It also covers cooperation in scientific research, innovation, workshops, specialized events, and graduation projects.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of Riyada University for Science and Technology and former Minister of Education, and Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute, at NTI’s headquarters in Smart Village.
Under the agreement, university students will have access to NTI’s summer training programs covering several emerging technology fields, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, Internet of Things and embedded systems, mobile communications, fiber optics, web design and graphics, and freelancing.
Students who successfully complete the training programs will receive certificates accredited by NTI, with opportunities to obtain international certifications in relevant fields.
The cooperation will also support graduation projects and scientific research, while encouraging innovation and the development of technology-based applications. The partnership is designed to strengthen practical skills and help students translate academic knowledge into solutions that address the needs of industry and the labor market.
