UPFRONT Partners with Mastercard to Expand Commercial Card Solutions and Working Capital for MENA SMEs

UPFRONT, a Middle East and North Africa (MENA) financial operations (FinOps) platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has partnered with Mastercard to integrate commercial card solutions directly into its platform. The strategic alliance is designed to equip qualifying SMEs with flexible digital payment instruments and working capital access, enabling them to optimize supplier settlements, manage daily operating expenditures, and maintain greater control over corporate cash flow.

Integration Architecture and Operational Model

Under the proposed operating model, UPFRONT will retain direct management of client credit and financing relationships, while Mastercard will deliver the underlying commercial card program infrastructure:

Embedded Commercial Credit: Eligible SMEs can access pre-approved credit lines disbursed via commercial Mastercard cards to fund operational expenses and vendor liabilities.

Unified Financial Workflow: Commercial card payments will integrate directly into UPFRONT’s existing automated receivables (AR), payables (AP), and liquidity tracking modules.

AI-Driven Cash Management: Real-time cash flow analytics combined with embedded corporate card controls allow businesses to consolidate spending and transform daily transactional data into active purchasing power.

Geographic Rollout: The first phase will launch exclusively for UPFRONT’s SME client base within the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with cross-border regional expansion planned subject to regulatory readiness and product maturity.
