Texas-Based Cybersecurity Firm StrikeReady Raises Funding from Aramco’s Wa’ed Ventures to Expand in MENA
Texas-based cybersecurity platform StrikeReady, known for its AI-driven security operations solutions, has secured strategic investment from Wa’ed Ventures, the $500 million institutional venture capital arm of Saudi Aramco. The new funding brings StrikeReady’s total capital raised to $29 million.
The investment will fund StrikeReady’s expansion across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, anchored by the establishment of a regional headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company aims to provide enterprise Security Operations Centers (SOCs) with unlimited, AI-powered threat coverage, actively challenging the industry-standard consumption-based pricing models that often restrict security budgets.
Disrupting Consumption-Based Security Pricing
StrikeReady’s core market proposition addresses a fundamental economic flaw in modern cybersecurity tooling: the correlation between security budgets and threat coverage.
Currently, many security platforms bill clients based on data volume (SIEM), the number of automated response playbooks executed (SOAR), or per-investigation fees for AI agents. StrikeReady’s Founder and CEO, Yasser Khaled, argues that these models force SOC teams to selectively apply AI only to prioritized threats based on budget constraints, rather than actual severity.
To counter this, StrikeReady offers a flat-rate, unlimited coverage model utilizing its Compound AI technology. This architecture blends machine learning (for pattern matching and automating repetitive tasks) with Large Language Models (LLMs) to handle complex reasoning during critical investigations—all applied universally across alerts, vulnerabilities, assets, and identities without penalizing the client for high utilization.
Enterprise Integration and Operational Impact
The StrikeReady platform is designed to act as an intelligent layer over an enterprise’s existing security stack.
Seamless Integration: The platform integrates directly with existing SIEMs, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems, Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, and threat intelligence feeds. It enhances these legacy systems with AI capabilities without requiring a costly "rip-and-replace" overhaul.
Efficiency Gains: By automating the end-to-end processing of routine threats, early enterprise deployments of StrikeReady have demonstrated an 80% reduction in incident investigation times, freeing up human analysts to focus on high-value proactive defense strategies.
Strategic Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030
Wa’ed Ventures’ backing extends beyond capital, serving as a strategic gateway into the Saudi digital economy. Anas Al-Ghannam, CEO of Wa’ed Ventures, emphasized that StrikeReady aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia's push to build a globally competitive tech ecosystem capable of safeguarding critical infrastructure.
To comply with stringent data sovereignty requirements for major Saudi corporations and critical infrastructure operators, StrikeReady is highly localized:
Local Hosting: The platform operates natively within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Saudi Arabia region, ensuring all security data remains in-country.
Self-Hosting Options: For organizations requiring absolute control, StrikeReady offers self-hosted deployment models and is actively collaborating with major local hosting providers to maximize architectural flexibility.
