Egyptian Healthtech Startup Inflaixus Seeks Up to $4 Million to Build AI Radiology Platform

Egyptian healthtech startup Inflaixus is seeking to raise between $2 million and $4 million to develop an artificial intelligence platform capable of analyzing multiple types of medical imaging, as the company looks to expand the use of AI in radiology diagnostics.
The planned platform will be designed to analyze different imaging modalities, including X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans, using AI models to support the detection and assessment of medical conditions.
Rather than developing an AI tool around a single type of scan, Inflaixus is seeking to build a broader radiology platform capable of handling multiple imaging formats, potentially allowing hospitals and diagnostic centers to integrate AI assistance across a wider part of their workflow.
AI moves deeper into radiology
Medical imaging has emerged as one of the most active areas for healthcare AI because radiology generates large volumes of image-based data that can be analyzed using machine-learning models.
Such systems can be designed to identify patterns in scans, flag potential abnormalities and help radiologists prioritize cases requiring closer attention.
For Inflaixus, the proposed funding would support the development of technology capable of analyzing different imaging categories rather than limiting the product to a single diagnostic use case.
That distinction could become important commercially. Hospitals and imaging centers typically operate several radiology systems, meaning a platform capable of supporting different modalities could potentially be integrated more broadly than a standalone algorithm designed for one examination.
Up to $4 million for the next development stage
Inflaixus is targeting a funding round of $2 million to $4 million, with the capital expected to support further development of the AI platform.
The fundraising would place the company among a growing group of Egyptian startups attempting to apply AI to specialized industries where accuracy, domain expertise and access to high-quality data are as important as the underlying technology.
Healthcare presents an additional challenge because AI-generated findings cannot simply be treated like conventional software outputs. Medical imaging systems require rigorous validation, regulatory compliance and integration with clinical workflows before they can be deployed at scale.
For that reason, the value of radiology AI increasingly lies in its ability to support physicians rather than replace clinical judgment — helping specialists process growing imaging volumes, identify cases that may require urgent review and make more efficient use of their time.
If Inflaixus completes the targeted funding round, its next test will be turning its technology into a platform that can operate across multiple imaging modalities while meeting the clinical and regulatory standards required for wider adoption.
