Danish shipping line A.P. Moller - Maersk announced on Monday that four additional container services operated jointly with Germany’s Hapag-Lloyd will resume transiting the Suez Canal. Rerouted Services & Operational Impact
The transition shifts four key loops from the extended southern African detour back to the direct Mediterranean-Red Sea transit route:

Logistical Benefits: Rerouting these loops via the Suez Canal will substantially cut sailing distances, compress transit times between Asian and European ports, and reduce bunker fuel burn.
