Banque Misr Participates in Farmer’s Day Initiative to Promote Financial Inclusion
Banque Misr is participating in the “Farmer’s Day” initiative, held under the supervision of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), as part of ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion and expand access to banking products and services.
The bank’s participation reflects its support for Egypt’s efforts to broaden financial access in line with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030. The initiative aims to encourage wider participation in the formal banking system by providing different segments of society with access to accounts, payment and transfer services, savings products, financing solutions, and other banking services.
During the initiative, which runs from September 1 to 15, 2026, Banque Misr is offering a range of free services and benefits, with a particular focus on women and young customers.
The offers include free opening of current and savings accounts for individuals, with no account-opening fees or minimum opening balance, as well as exemptions from stamp duty.
Eligible products include Egyptian pound current and savings accounts, both conventional and Islamic, in addition to El Mongez current and savings accounts, youth accounts, the El Momken savings account, and the Hawalaty current account available in Egyptian pounds or U.S. dollars.
Banque Misr is also offering free issuance of Meeza prepaid cards, with no issuance fees. Customers aged between 15 and 21 can open accounts free of charge, while youth program customers can receive a free BM debit card.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to increase access to banking services and encourage greater financial participation among different segments of the Egyptian population.
