DWS Group to Rebrand Globally as 'Deutsche Asset Management' in November 2026

DWS Group has announced that it will adopt "Deutsche Asset Management" as its new global corporate brand identity, effective early November 2026. This strategic move aims to solidify the firm’s position as a primary gateway for global investors into Europe, anchoring its German and European heritage while driving international growth ambitions across diverse regions and client segments.

By adopting a unified, overarching global brand, the group intends to consolidate its worldwide services, expertise, and investment performance under a single cohesive umbrella.

A Unified Brand Architecture

The new corporate identity will house a powerful suite of established brands. This includes "DWS" for active retail wealth management in Europe, "Xtrackers" for its global Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and passive investment mandates, and "RREEF" for its real estate expertise in the United States.

While most existing product and brand names will remain intact, they will now feature the endorsement "by Deutsche Asset Management //" starting in November to reinforce their connection to a unified global platform. The "Deutsche Asset Management" name itself will be utilized directly for institutional services and private market offerings.

Executive Vision and Global Reach

Stefan Hoops, CEO of DWS Group, highlighted that the new identity leverages the distinct strengths of its core components, noting DWS’s 70-year legacy of outperforming active portfolio management in its home market, Xtrackers' success as a standalone passive investment leader, and RREEF's 50 years of real estate experience.

"From the outset, Deutsche Asset Management will have a broad international presence, having already established a strong reputation among our institutional clients worldwide," Hoops stated. He added that the unified brand sends a definitive message of fiduciary independence, global expertise, and a disciplined approach to helping clients achieve long-term objectives.

Strategic Drivers and Client Alignment

This rebranding marks the next evolutionary phase for the firm, aimed at scaling its global footprint. Following strong operational execution and its promotion to Germany's MDAX mid-cap index in March 2025, the company is building on the strategic framework established during its 2022 Capital Markets Day.

Earlier this year, the group realigned its client coverage and distribution operations to better cater to institutional and private wealth segments. Transitioning to the "Deutsche Asset Management" identity is the next logical step in this realignment, designed to project a clear, unified global presence that accurately reflects the firm's European leadership, scale, and cross-border growth ambitions.
