Egypt Ranks 5th Globally in Wheat Flour Exports for 2025

Egypt has continued to solidify its standing in the global wheat flour trade, ranking fifth worldwide in exports under HS Code 110100 in 2025.
The country's wheat flour exports reached approximately $319 million in 2025, with a total volume of nearly 944,000 tons. Accounting for about 6% of global wheat flour exports, Egypt has underscored its strong competitive edge in the international market.
Egyptian wheat flour exports have recorded notable growth in recent years, achieving a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15% in value and 14% in volume between 2020 and 2025.
Top Export Destinations
Egypt's wheat flour exports are distributed across a diverse range of international markets, maintaining a particularly robust presence in African and Arab regions.
Sudan emerged as the leading destination for Egyptian wheat flour in 2025, receiving exports valued at $118 million, which represents 37% of Egypt’s total exports of the commodity.
Other top destinations include:
Somalia: $81 million (25%)
Madagascar: $49 million (15%)
Yemen: $34 million (11%)
Palestine: $20 million (6%)
Together, these top five destinations accounted for $302 million, representing roughly 94% of Egypt’s total wheat flour exports in 2025.
This robust export performance reflects the high competitiveness of Egyptian wheat flour and its entrenched presence in regional markets, paving the way for further expansion and diversification into new international territories in the coming years.
