HPE Launches ”Saudi Made” AI Initiatives and Expands Local Manufacturing Capabilities at LEAP 2026
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a series of strategic investments at the LEAP 2026 conference aimed at fortifying Saudi Arabia's technology ecosystem and advancing the localization objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The comprehensive rollout includes a sovereign technology development program, the expansion of locally manufactured enterprise hardware, and the establishment of a dedicated innovation hub in Riyadh.
"Saudi Made from Development to Sovereignty" Initiative
In collaboration with Intel and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), HPE launched a flagship program designed to accelerate the development, validation, and market readiness of local artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation solutions. The framework merges locally manufactured infrastructure with Saudi-developed intellectual property.
Software Partners: ShaheenAI, Mozn, and OmniOps will contribute localized AI algorithms and platform capabilities.
Integration Partner: Al-Nahl Computer will serve as the primary partner for system integration, project execution, and ongoing operational support.
Expanded Local Manufacturing Portfolio
To address complex enterprise data workloads and rapid AI adoption, HPE is broadening its "Saudi Made" manufacturing footprint:
Advanced Storage: The local production line now includes the HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 and HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, delivering highly scalable block, file, and object storage management.
Alfanar Partnership Upgrades: HPE and Alfanar factory have elevated their server production capabilities. The facility is transitioning beyond basic local assembly to provide fully integrated, pre-tested, and custom-configured infrastructure systems ready for immediate deployment across the Middle East.
Saudi Innovation Center
HPE and Intel revealed plans to launch a joint Saudi Innovation Center at HPE’s newly established Riyadh offices. The facility will act as a collaborative testing ground where customers, software providers, and entrepreneurs can develop, validate, and commercialize technical solutions utilizing locally manufactured hardware.
Commenting on the launch, Nasser Al-Nasser, Deputy Minister at MCIT, noted that building a competitive digital economy demands specialized local competencies. He emphasized that uniting global technology leaders like HPE and Intel with Saudi innovators is critical to accelerating the Kingdom's AI ecosystem and driving long-term economic diversification.
