Key Market Drivers & Analytical Takeaways

Tight Bid-Ask Spreads: The narrow margin between buying and selling prices (approx. EGP 17 to EGP 23 across major karats) reflects consistent inter-dealer liquidity and stabilized short-term pricing mechanisms among local jewelry merchants and bullion traders.

Sustained Store-of-Value Demand: Strong trading volume around the Gold Pound (EGP 51,600) and Local Ounce underscores persistent retail demand for physical gold as an inflation hedge and long-term capital preservation vehicle.

Precious Metals Diversification: The pricing of silver at EGP 110–112 per gram continues to provide an accessible, lower-cost alternative for smaller-scale retail investors seeking exposure to precious metal holdings.
