Arab Security Conference Marks 10th Edition With High-Level Government and Diplomatic Participation
The Arab Security Conference (ASC) is set to mark a decade on the regional cybersecurity calendar when its 10th edition convenes in Cairo on September 27–28, 2026, bringing together senior government officials, diplomats, cybersecurity leaders, technology executives and experts from Egypt, the Arab world and international markets.
Hosted at The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo, ASC 2026 comes at a time when cybersecurity has moved well beyond the traditional boundaries of IT departments, becoming a strategic priority for governments and businesses as artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and increasingly connected systems reshape both the digital economy and the global threat landscape.
The 10th edition will be held under the patronage and with the participation of Raafat Hendy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, while Salah Soliman Gomblat, Minister of State for Military Production, will also extend his patronage to the conference.
The senior-level participation reflects the growing importance attached to cyber resilience, critical infrastructure protection and institutional preparedness as governments and businesses face increasingly sophisticated and fast-evolving digital threats.
ASC 2026 will also feature a significant international diplomatic presence, including Ambassador Paulino Franco de Carvalho Neto, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Egypt and Brazil’s Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, and Eric V. Gaudiosi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, alongside a consul from the British Embassy in Cairo.
The diplomatic participation adds an international dimension to this year’s gathering, reflecting the increasingly cross-border nature of cybersecurity challenges and the need for deeper cooperation, knowledge exchange and dialogue between governments, businesses and cybersecurity communities worldwide.
Over its previous editions, the Arab Security Conference has developed into a meeting point for policymakers, government representatives, diplomats, business leaders, cybersecurity professionals and technology experts, creating a platform for discussions around emerging threats, international experience and the technologies and strategies shaping the future of digital security.
This year’s agenda will address some of the most pressing and forward-looking areas in cybersecurity, including critical infrastructure and industrial systems protection, cloud security, advanced computing, space and connected-system security, artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, quantum security, cyber resilience and digital identity.
The programme will also examine emerging technologies and risks that are rapidly changing how organisations approach cybersecurity, as the expansion of AI, cloud computing and connected environments creates new opportunities while simultaneously widening the potential attack surface.
Beyond its main conference sessions and expert discussions, ASC 2026 will feature technical workshops, specialised activities and competitions designed to develop practical skills, identify emerging cybersecurity talent and strengthen connections between international expertise, the technology community and the business sector.
The milestone 10th edition comes against a backdrop of accelerating digital transformation across economies and industries, placing greater pressure on governments and organisations to rethink security architectures, improve resilience and strengthen collaboration across the public and private sectors.
Held annually under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Arab Security Conference has built a decade-long presence as a regional platform connecting expertise from Egypt, the Arab world and international cybersecurity communities.
As it enters its second decade, the conference is seeking to deepen that role by bringing together decision-makers, global expertise and emerging talent around a common challenge: how to build a digital environment capable not only of defending against today’s cyber threats, but also of anticipating the risks that will shape the years ahead.
