ITI Holds Capstone Project Evaluations for Digital IC Design Graduates

The Information Technology Institute (ITI) has organized "Digital IC Capstone Day: Bridging Academic Innovation and Industry Needs," a project evaluation event for students of the Professional Training Program in the Digital IC Design track, at its New Capital branch.

During the event, students presented advanced technical projects before an evaluation panel, including the physical implementation of NVIDIA Deep Learning Accelerator (NVDLA) IP design, the complete layout design of a SerDes system, a portable UVM verification environment for RISC-V processor cores, and a UVM verification environment for an Ethernet MAC unit.

The projects underwent thorough evaluation by a select group of specialized engineers from leading companies in the field, including ICpedia, AI Chip, Orion X, PyramidTech, Mixel, and the Lotus Microsystems branch in Egypt. This interaction gave students valuable insights into the realities and current requirements of the industry.

Meanwhile, ITI continues to offer Analog IC Design courses as part of its Summer Code Camps program for undergraduates. The program follows an open track model available on the Mahara-Tech platform, and it has benefited more than 25,000 young people across Egypt and Arab countries. The Institute also seeks to expand this successful model to other technical disciplines.
