LG Electronics Commences Operations at New Home Appliance Plant in Brazil to Expand South American Footprint

 South Korean tech giant LG Electronics has commenced commercial operations at its newly constructed home appliances manufacturing facility in Brazil, aimed at bolstering its production capacity and footprint across South America, according to a report by Yonhap News Agency.

Located in the southern state of Paraná, the newly opened facility marks LG’s second manufacturing site in the country. Operational activities kicked off last week with an initial annual production capacity of 600,000 refrigerators.

Annual Capacity Exceeds 7 Million Units

With the addition of the Paraná plant alongside LG’s established manufacturing complex in Amazonas state, the company’s total annual home appliance production capacity in Brazil is projected to exceed 7 million units.
