Qodwa-Tech Highlights Digital Empowerment Efforts at Arab Initiative for Green Tech, AI
The Qodwa-Tech initiative for women's empowerment has participated in the Arab Initiative for Green Technology and Artificial Intelligence 2026, launched by Ain Elbeeah Association in cooperation with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) on August 6, online. Focused on innovative smart solutions for a sustainable green future, the initiative was launched in preparation for Arab participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) in Antalya, Turkey.
The initiative serves as an Arab platform bringing together experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, academics, institutional representatives, civil society organizations, and stakeholders in green technology and AI. It aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, foster innovation, and encourage the development of technological solutions that support sustainable development and address environmental and climate challenges.
Focus areas of the initiative include AI and its environmental applications; renewable energy and smart grids; smart agriculture, food security, and water resource management; the circular economy and waste management; smart cities and sustainable mobility; innovation, entrepreneurship, and green technologies; education and capacity building; and environmental governance and digital green finance.
Following the official launch, a series of lectures, scientific meetings, and dialogue sessions brought together experts, academics, and specialists from across the Arab region.
During one of these sessions, Qodwa-Tech presented its experience in advancing women's digital and economic empowerment through training programs in digital marketing, e-commerce, digital content creation, AI, and entrepreneurship, alongside activities to promote digital financial inclusion. These programs are designed to equip women entrepreneurs—particularly those running handicraft businesses—with the digital skills needed to grow existing ventures, launch new ones, or pursue freelance opportunities.
Qodwa-Tech's participation reflects its ongoing commitment to exchanging expertise in digital empowerment and exploring new applications of technology and AI for sustainable development, opening new avenues for Egyptian women to grow their businesses and strengthen their economic prospects.
