JPMorgan Chase to Sustain Asia-Pacific Hiring Spree in 2027 Driven by 20% Revenue Surge in Corporate Banking
JPMorgan Chase will continue its hiring momentum across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region throughout 2027, following a robust revenue growth of over 20% in its corporate banking division this year, two regional executives told Reuters.
Sustained Headcount Expansion
The prominent U.S. lender is currently nearing the completion of a 15% headcount increase within its APAC corporate banking team for this year, building on a solid 20% workforce expansion achieved in 2025. These operational milestones were shared by Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton during an interview conducted at JPMorgan’s Singapore office.
Key Target Segments for Recruitment
The executives emphasized that the upcoming recruitment drive will specifically target teams dedicated to serving several critical sectors:
Mid-sized and large corporations
The innovation economy and tech startups
Traditional financial institutions
Non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs)
"We intend to continue hiring at a similar pace in 2027, and this will encompass all our business lines," Clayton stated. He further noted, "While the exact pace may vary from one market to another, this expansion strategy covers a substantial number of countries across the region."
