Insurance Federation of Egypt Names Ayman Mamoun to Lead Claims and Loss Prevention Committee
The Insurance Federation of Egypt has approved the new formation of its Claims and Loss Prevention Committee, appointing Ayman Mamoun as chairman and Mostafa Hassan as deputy chairman.
Mamoun currently serves as Claims Director at Sarwa Insurance, bringing extensive experience in claims management and loss assessment to the committee. Hassan, meanwhile, is Head of Claims at Misr Takaful Insurance – Property & Liability, where he has been involved in technical and professional training across the general insurance sector.
The committee is expected to play a central role in strengthening claims practices across the Egyptian insurance market, with a focus on improving settlement efficiency, enhancing loss-prevention standards and supporting greater consistency in technical procedures among insurers.
Its work also covers the exchange of industry expertise, development of professional standards and discussion of emerging operational challenges linked to claims handling, risk management and loss mitigation.
The new formation comes as Egypt’s insurance industry continues to place greater emphasis on technical efficiency and customer experience, with faster and more transparent claims settlement increasingly viewed as a key measure of service quality and market competitiveness.
By bringing together senior claims specialists from across the sector, the committee is positioned to support closer coordination among insurers and contribute to improving industry-wide practices in claims management and loss prevention.
