OPPO Unveils Reno16 Series for Egypt, Expands Local Manufacturing and AI Ambitions

OPPO is set to launch its new Reno16 Series in Egypt on August 11, introducing a new generation of AI-powered smartphones while expanding its local manufacturing footprint as part of a broader long-term investment strategy in the Egyptian market.

The launch, held under the theme "Your Vibe, Your Way," reflects the company's continued focus on bringing advanced mobile technologies, artificial intelligence and localized production to one of its key regional markets.

Targeting younger consumers, the Reno16 Series combines OPPO's latest design language with a suite of AI-driven imaging and creative tools aimed at enhancing content creation, photography and everyday communication. The lineup debuts the company's new 3D Pop Planet Design, featuring a distinctive visual identity inspired by cosmic elements and personal expression.

According to OPPO, the new devices are designed to offer a blend of premium aesthetics, strong performance and intuitive AI capabilities that allow users to personalize and elevate their digital experiences.

"Egyptian youth are redefining how technology becomes part of their identity, creativity and everyday experiences," said Lay Ren, President of OPPO Middle East and Africa. "With the Reno16 Series, OPPO is empowering them to express themselves through distinctive design, intelligent imaging and experiences tailored to their evolving lifestyles. This launch also reinforces our long-term commitment to Egypt through local manufacturing and continued investment in the country's next generation."

The announcement also highlights OPPO's growing role in Egypt's electronics manufacturing sector. Since establishing its local production facility, the company has manufactured more than 4.6 million smartphones in Egypt, strengthening domestic supply while supporting the country's industrial development.

Production of the Reno lineup has exceeded 450,000 units to date, while the new Reno16 Series is expected to reach a local manufacturing capacity of up to 100,000 units per month, underscoring OPPO's confidence in the Egyptian market and its long-term expansion plans.

Alongside the smartphone launch, OPPO Egypt announced the fourth edition of the Maker x OPPO Dream League, organized in partnership with The Maker Academy. The nationwide football tournament aims to engage more than 15,000 young players across several governorates, reflecting the company's broader commitment to youth development beyond technology.

Building on the success of previous editions, the initiative seeks to provide aspiring footballers with greater access to training, competition and opportunities to develop their talent, reinforcing OPPO's strategy of combining technology investment with community engagement in Egypt.
