Egypt’s Processed Food Exports Surge to Record $3.77 Billion in H1 2026

Egypt’s processed food exports reached an all-time high of approximately $3.77 billion during the first six months of 2026, marking an 11% year-on-year increase compared to $3.41 billion in H1 2025, according to new data released by the Food Export Council (FEC).
The performance represents a net gain of roughly $357 million, reinforcing the sustained upward trajectory of Egyptian food shipments across key foreign destinations.

Decade of Growth: Processed food exports have expanded by $2.35 billion (+165%) over the past ten years, rising from $1.42 billion in H1 2016.

"These results demonstrate the rising global competitiveness of Egyptian food brands," the Food Export Council stated. "Our focus remains on expanding into high-priority growth markets, resolving trade bottlenecks, and showcasing Egyptian products at international trade missions."
