OPPO Highlights Key Milestones from 2025 Sustainability Report, Reaffirming Commitment to Low-Carbon Operations and Digital Inclusion

OPPO, the global technology brand, has highlighted key achievements outlined in its 2025 Sustainability Report, underscoring its commitment to delivering inclusive, environmentally responsible technology tailored to evolving user needs. The report reflects OPPO's long-term strategy to embed sustainability across its products, operations, and global market presence.

The report highlights progress across five core pillars: Operations and Compliance, Environmental Protection, Employee Care, Purposeful Innovation, and Partnerships and Community Engagement.

Low-Carbon Transformation & Operational Efficiency

As part of its strategy to transition toward a low-carbon economy, OPPO completed Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for 23 smartphone models in 2025 to measure and minimize environmental impact across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, usage, and recycling.

Operational and packaging milestones include:

Recycled Packaging: Recycled paper accounted for approximately 43% of total smartphone packaging weight.

Emission Reductions: Achieved a 1.22% year-over-year reduction in operational carbon emissions.

Renewable Energy: Increased the use of renewable electricity at its manufacturing sites to nearly 70%.

Digital Inclusion & Intellectual Property

Under its core mission, "Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World," OPPO enhanced over 30 core applications within its ColorOS operating system in 2025. The updates introduced specialized accessibility features for users with visual, hearing, and motor impairments, including text-to-speech, speech-to-text, enhanced reading tools, and visual notifications.

Supported by a strong intellectual property foundation, OPPO accumulated over 118,000 patent applications globally, with total granted patents surpassing 66,000 by the end of 2025.

Health R&D & Global Community Impact

OPPO officially opened its Fitness and Health Lab in Binhai New Area, China—the company's largest global research facility dedicated to sports science, cardiovascular health, sleep tracking, and AI-driven wellness solutions.

Beyond operations, OPPO contributed over $5.4 million in 2025 to support global education, cultural preservation, and community resilience:

UNESCO Partnership: Donated 1,000 tablets across five countries in Asia and Africa to support IT education and digital equity.

Discovery Channel Collaboration: Continued the "Culture in a Shot" campaign, empowering users to document and preserve local cultural heritage through smartphone photography.

OPPO reaffirmed that innovation and sustainability remain central to its global growth and local operations, including its continued expansion within the Egyptian market.
