SEOUL / SAN FRANCISCO – South Korea has announced new artificial intelligence initiatives valued at $950 billion, involving Samsung Electronics, SK Group, and major American technology companies. The announcement comes as global AI leaders race to address ongoing shortages in the high-speed chips necessary to power and train next-generation AI systems.

According to the South Korean Presidential Office (the Blue House), following an AI summit hosted by President Lee Jae-myung in San Francisco, SK Group signed agreements totaling $750 billion.

This includes a monumental partnership between chipmaker SK Hynix and Nvidia valued at over $500 billion, aimed at securing the supply chain for advanced memory and AI processing components.
