Ripple Unveils Institutional Stablecoin Platform With Built-In Compliance and Transaction Verification
Ripple has introduced Ripple Mint, a new institutional platform designed to simplify the issuance, redemption and management of its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, while strengthening compliance capabilities for regulated financial institutions. The launch marks the company's latest push to expand enterprise adoption of blockchain-based payments and digital asset infrastructure.
The new platform provides a unified interface and API that allow banks, payment providers, exchanges and other institutional clients to mint, redeem and manage RLUSD directly, replacing the previous manual workflow. Ripple said the platform also enables automated stablecoin operations, seamless integration with existing treasury and payment systems, real-time transaction monitoring and webhook notifications for critical settlement events.
Alongside the platform launch, Ripple announced deeper integration of compliance and identity verification tools through its partnership and investment in Notabene. The move introduces enhanced transaction authorization and identity verification capabilities aimed at helping institutions meet increasingly stringent regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements when handling digital assets.
The company said Ripple Mint has been developed to support enterprise-scale deployments, giving financial institutions greater flexibility to automate stablecoin issuance, improve operational efficiency and strengthen transaction reconciliation through end-to-end tracking identifiers. The platform is available through both a web-based interface and programmable APIs to accommodate different operational models.
RLUSD, Ripple's U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a New York-regulated trust company, and is backed by U.S. dollar reserves. The stablecoin is designed primarily for institutional payments, cross-border settlements and tokenized financial applications, reinforcing Ripple's strategy of positioning regulated stablecoins at the center of enterprise blockchain finance.
