Egypt’s Fixed Broadband Subscriptions Increase by 8.4% Annually, Reaching 12.96 Million in April 2026
The number of fixed broadband internet subscriptions in Egypt rose to 12.96 million by the end of April 2026, up from 11.96 million in April 2025, marking an annual growth rate of 8.38%.
According to the monthly report released by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), which relies on data from the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), fixed internet subscriptions witnessed a marginal monthly growth of 0.12% compared to approximately 12.95 million subscriptions recorded in March 2026.
Mobile Internet Users
The report also revealed that the percentage of mobile internet users relative to total mobile subscribers climbed to 75.54% by the end of April 2026, compared to 74.81% in April 2025, representing an annual increase of 0.73 percentage points.
On a monthly basis, this ratio moved upward from 75.15% in March 2026 to 75.54% in April 2026, a growth of approximately 0.39 percentage points. This trajectory underscores the continuous and growing reliance on mobile data services within the Egyptian telecom market.
