Egypt’s Health Minister and Samsung Egypt President Discuss Healthcare Tech and Training Infrastructure Cooperation

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Byung-Mo Shin, President of Samsung Electronics Egypt, to discuss enhancing joint cooperation in developing the healthcare sector. The meeting aligns with the ministry's strategy to expand public-private partnerships and leverage global expertise and advanced technology.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the ministry's commitment to collaborating with multinational companies to support the modernization of the health system. He highlighted that integrating digital solutions is crucial for upgrading continuous medical education programs, improving the corporate healthcare working environment, and elevating the quality of medical services provided to citizens.

Upgrading Training Infrastructure and Crisis Management

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, detailed that the discussions centered on upgrading the infrastructure at the Princess Fatima Center for Professional Medical Education by equipping a state-of-the-art training hall.

Furthermore, the partnership will focus on the following key areas:

Developing the Ministry's Crisis Room: Upgrading operational capabilities to provide a modern environment for emergency response training.

Medical Team Qualification: Training and developing the skills of frontline medical personnel in accordance with the latest international healthcare standards.

Digital Transformation Integration: Reviewing future proposals to embed Samsung’s technological expertise into the ministry's workflow to achieve sustainability in development and training programs.
