Nokia Signs Multi-Year Agreement with SAP to Accelerate Cloud ERP Transformation on Microsoft Azure

SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) announced today that Nokia, a global leader in connectivity solutions designed for the AI era, has signed a new multi-year agreement with SAP to accelerate its corporate transformation journey. Under this agreement, Nokia will utilize the RISE with SAP methodology, hosting its SAP S/4HANA cloud ERP system on the Microsoft Azure platform.

Concluded at the end of 2025, this agreement marks a significant milestone in Nokia's modernization of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) infrastructure. Through this partnership, Nokia will adopt an integrated and structured approach to managing the migration of its ERP environment—encompassing business processes, data, applications, and operating models—while continuously leveraging the latest built-in artificial intelligence capabilities and innovations provided by SAP’s cloud ERP portfolio.

Leveraging Microsoft Azure for Scalability and Security

Nokia selected Microsoft Azure as the supporting cloud infrastructure for this migration due to its global scalability, advanced security frameworks, and high-performance capabilities, which are essential for running the company's most critical core systems and corporate operations.

Manos Raptopoulos, Global President of the EMEA and APAC Customer Evolution regions and an extended member of the Executive Board at SAP SE, commented: "Nokia's decision reflects its commitment to executing a corporate transformation deeply rooted in business needs. The RISE with SAP methodology provides a clear roadmap, integrated tools, and continuous access to the latest innovations. This empowers Nokia to modernize its ERP systems while maintaining a flexible, scalable technical architecture, laying a solid foundation to harvest the power of AI across the entire enterprise."
