Prior to the close of Sunday's trading, the price of the 21-karat gold coin (gold pound) reached 47,320 EGP in the Egyptian market. This figure represents the value of raw gold, excluding workmanship fees, taxes, or hallmarking duties. The standard Egyptian gold coin weighs exactly 8 grams of 21-karat gold.

Retail prices for new gold grams, recorded just before the market close, settled as follows:

21-Karat: 5,915 EGP

18-Karat: 5,070 EGP

14-Karat: 3,943 EGP
