Samsung Launches Galaxy A27 5G with AI-Powered Features, 120Hz AMOLED Display and Six Years of Software Support

Samsung Electronics Egypt has unveiled the Galaxy A27 5G, the latest addition to its Galaxy A series, introducing a larger immersive display, enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities, improved performance, and long-term software support aimed at bringing premium smartphone experiences to a wider range of users.

The new smartphone builds on the success of the Galaxy A26 5G with several upgrades, including a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, slimmer bezels, and a punch-hole front camera design that maximizes screen space while delivering a more immersive viewing experience.

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the Galaxy A27 5G offers faster multitasking, improved graphics performance for gaming and streaming, and greater power efficiency thanks to upgraded memory architecture.

Samsung has also upgraded the front-facing camera to 12MP, enabling improved dynamic range and more natural-looking selfies across different lighting conditions.

Artificial intelligence remains at the core of the new device. Samsung has expanded its Awesome Intelligence suite with enhanced Circle to Search with Google, which now supports multi-object recognition and virtual outfit try-ons directly from search results. The upgraded Object Eraser delivers more accurate photo editing, while Voice Transcription can now automatically translate recordings into 22 languages as it generates transcripts.

The Galaxy A27 5G also supports multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini and Perplexity, alongside a more capable Bixby that enables users to control device settings and features using natural language. Deeper integration across Galaxy applications further enhances everyday productivity and user experience.

To ensure long-term value, Samsung will provide the Galaxy A27 5G with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as six years of security updates, making it one of the longest-supported smartphones in its category.

The device is protected by Samsung Knox Vault, offering hardware-based security for sensitive data, and carries an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water.

Additional specifications include a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, support for up to 2TB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

Running Android 16 with One UI 8.5, the Galaxy A27 5G will be available from July 3 in selected markets in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink. Samsung also announced that buyers will have access to Samsung Care+, providing optional device protection and after-sales support.
