Dubai SME and Hyatt Partner to Expand Hospitality Opportunities for Small Businesses
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, part of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyatt Hotels in Dubai to expand business opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises within the hospitality sector.
The strategic partnership aims to support the growth and competitiveness of Dubai-based SMEs by providing access to procurement, innovation, and business development opportunities across Hyatt-branded hotels in the emirate.
Under the agreement, eligible members of the establishment will have the opportunity to join approved supplier lists for participating Hyatt hotels, enabling them to contribute to hotel operations and strengthen their long-term market readiness.
The partnership also extends beyond procurement, offering SMEs access to retail outlets and spaces for hosting activities and events inside participating hotels.
Members will also benefit from preferential commercial terms, including discounted accommodation rates, alongside opportunities to participate in community events and initiatives designed to strengthen their commercial visibility.
The two parties will cooperate in organizing networking platforms, professional relationship-building activities, and business development programs to create new links between entrepreneurs and Dubai’s hospitality industry.
The initiative supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to reinforce the emirate’s position as a leading global center for business, tourism, and entertainment while promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic diversification.
Ahmed Al Room Al Muhairi, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, said Dubai remains committed to creating an environment that enables entrepreneurs to grow, improve their competitiveness, and contribute to the emirate’s economic development.
He added that the organization is working to open new pathways connecting SMEs with strategic economic sectors and giving entrepreneurs access to opportunities capable of supporting sustainable growth.
Al Muhairi said the partnership with Hyatt Hotels would enable small businesses to benefit from opportunities within the hospitality sector, which plays a central role in Dubai’s global appeal and wider development ambitions.
Fathi Khogali, Regional Vice President of Hyatt Hotels in Dubai, said the collaboration reflects the group’s commitment to supporting innovation and creating structured pathways for SMEs to participate in Hyatt’s operational ecosystem.
He noted that the partnership would provide businesses with valuable opportunities to enhance their capabilities, market presence, and prospects for long-term success within the sector.
The agreement is expected to deepen the integration of SMEs into Dubai’s hospitality supply chain while supporting private-sector growth and generating wider economic momentum across the emirate.
