Egypt Prepares First Phase of Digital Real Estate Export Platform in New Alamein

Egypt’s Ministers of Housing and Communications have reviewed preparations for launching the first phase of the country’s Real Estate Export Platform, with New Alamein City selected as the initial location for implementing the new digital system.

Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hendy held an expanded meeting at the Housing Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to assess implementation progress and coordinate the remaining steps required for the launch.

The platform is designed to facilitate foreign investment in Egypt’s property market through a secure and integrated digital system covering property selection, purchasing, documentation, and access to government services.

According to the two ministries, the project will provide international investors with digitally verified purchasing procedures and access to approved and licensed real estate developments, while offering competitive features aligned with global property markets.

El-Menshawy said the platform represents a strategic step toward strengthening Egypt’s ability to market its real estate projects internationally and reach new groups of foreign investors.

She noted that expanding real estate exports could contribute to increasing foreign direct investment, stimulating economic activities linked to construction and property development, creating employment opportunities, and increasing the sector’s contribution to economic growth.

“The export of Egyptian real estate is one of the important pillars supporting the national economy, particularly given Egypt’s strong competitive advantages, promising property market, and integrated urban developments that match leading international projects,” El-Menshawy said.

She added that the platform would simplify investment procedures and enhance confidence among foreign buyers by providing a secure and transparent environment through which they can review officially approved, licensed, and verified projects.

Hendy said the platform is being developed as a secure, multilingual digital ecosystem capable of strengthening the global competitiveness of Egyptian real estate and enabling sales and digital documentation procedures to be completed with greater confidence and security.

He praised the cooperation between the Housing and Communications ministries in implementing a wider portfolio of digital transformation projects aimed at simplifying procedures for citizens and investors.

The Communications Ministry is working to integrate modern technologies, artificial intelligence applications, and secure cloud computing infrastructure into the platform to provide Egyptian and foreign investors with a smooth and innovative digital experience.

Hendy said the platform’s digital infrastructure had been designed in accordance with international standards applied across leading digital property markets.

Buyers will be able to access interactive electronic services directly through the platform and complete transactions with the relevant government authorities within shorter timeframes and with a high level of reliability.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the work carried out by both ministries since government directives were issued to establish an integrated system for exporting Egyptian real estate.

The review covered preparations to begin applying the platform in New Alamein City, which was selected for the first phase due to its position as one of Egypt’s leading destinations for property investment.

The meeting also addressed broader cooperation between the two ministries on digital transformation in the housing sector, including the development of information infrastructure for fourth-generation smart cities and the digitization of services provided by the New Urban Communities Authority.

Previous joint projects have enabled citizens to reserve and complete transactions for residential units and state-owned land electronically, with the new real estate export platform representing the latest stage in the strategic partnership between the two ministries.

The meeting was attended by Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for New Urban Communities; Mahmoud Badawy, Assistant Minister of Communications for Digital Transformation; Mahmoud Fakhr El-Din, Head of the Ministry’s Central Department for Automation Projects; and other senior officials from both ministries.
