The Food Export Council (FEC) of Egypt has announced a significant milestone for the processed food sector, reporting an impressive rise in export values during the first third of the year. Processed food exports reached $2.43 billion from January through April 2026, compared to $2.27 billion during the same period in 2025.

This steady expansion reflects a robust 7.1% growth rate, underscoring the sector's continued positive performance and its enhanced capacity to penetrate and secure a larger footprint within highly competitive international markets.

Key Drivers of Growth:

Enhanced Product Quality: The continuous development and adherence to international quality standards by Egyptian manufacturers.

Market Expansion: Successfully broadening the base of targeted foreign markets and strengthening trade relationships.

Supply Chain Reliability: The growing ability of Egyptian companies to consistently meet the complex demands of global importers and international supply chains.

The Food Export Council emphasized that this growth is a pivotal indicator of the sector's resilience and its strategic alignment with the state's vision to maximize non-petroleum exports and deliver high-value consumer goods to the world.
