SehaOne and British University in Egypt Launch Specialized Health Insurance Training Programs
Digital health insurance solutions provider SehaOne has signed a strategic partnership with the School of Continuing Education (SCE) at the British University in Egypt (BUE) to launch specialized education and training programs aimed at developing talent and strengthening professional capabilities within Egypt’s health insurance sector.
The collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements by providing specialized training pathways that equip professionals with the skills needed to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare and health insurance industries.
The cooperation protocol was signed by Prof. Mohamed Lotfy, President of the British University in Egypt, and Dr. Mohamed ElShabrawy, CEO and Co-Founder of SehaOne, marking one of the first initiatives in Egypt to bring together the academic and health insurance sectors in a structured effort to develop qualified professionals for the industry.
Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly design and deliver specialized programs in health insurance management, helping upskill current professionals while preparing a new generation of specialists capable of addressing future market needs.
The partnership will also support applied research and market studies in areas such as health insurance, claims management, and risk analysis, while organizing educational seminars and awareness campaigns aimed at promoting health insurance literacy and encouraging continuous professional development.
In addition, the collaboration includes sponsoring industry conferences and events focused on health insurance and healthcare management, alongside providing practical training opportunities through SehaOne and its network of insurance brokers and healthcare providers. These initiatives will give participants direct exposure to industry practices and real-world work environments.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Mohamed ElShabrawy, CEO and Co-Founder of SehaOne, said the partnership aligns with the company’s strategy of investing in human capital and supporting the development of specialized expertise within the health insurance sector.
“We believe that building qualified professionals who combine academic knowledge with practical experience is essential for supporting industry growth and improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries,” ElShabrawy said.
He added that the initiative represents a practical model for collaboration between academia and industry, helping address labor market requirements while preparing professionals capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformation taking place across healthcare and health insurance.
The partnership reflects SehaOne’s broader commitment to supporting education, innovation, and workforce development through strategic cooperation with leading academic institutions, while contributing to the growth and sustainability of Egypt’s healthcare ecosystem.
