VIE Communities Partners with WE to Build Advanced Digital Infrastructure Across Its Projects
Egyptian real estate developer VIE Communities has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with WE, Egypt’s first integrated telecom operator and owner of the country’s largest telecommunications infrastructure network, to develop and implement smart digital infrastructure and connectivity systems across all of its projects, beginning with its flagship development, Vie Collective in New Cairo.
The agreement was signed by Haitham Samir, CEO of VIE Communities, and Mohamed El-Touny, Deputy CEO for Consumer Commercial Affairs at WE.
Under the partnership, WE will deploy an advanced fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure within Vie Collective, enabling ultra-high-speed internet services alongside Triple Play offerings that include broadband, fixed-line telephony, and IPTV digital television services.
The collaboration will also introduce a range of smart technologies and digital solutions, including home automation systems and a dedicated community mobile application, aimed at enhancing customer experience and improving service efficiency throughout the project.
The partnership reflects VIE Communities’ strategy of integrating technology and innovation into the core of its developments, in line with Egypt’s broader vision of digital transformation and the creation of smart and sustainable communities.
Commenting on the agreement, Haitham Samir, CEO of VIE Communities, said digital infrastructure has become one of the key pillars underpinning the success of modern real estate projects.
“We believe that digital infrastructure is essential to the future of urban development, which is why we are committed to partnering with leading companies capable of delivering future-ready solutions,” Samir said. “Our collaboration with WE represents an important strategic step in enhancing the value proposition of Vie Collective and delivering a fully integrated living experience powered by the latest smart technologies.”
He added that the agreement aligns with the company’s long-term vision of creating sustainable and highly connected communities tailored to the expectations of a new generation of customers.
For his part, Mohamed El-Touny, Deputy CEO for Consumer Commercial Affairs at WE, said the telecom operator remains committed to supporting Egypt’s digital transformation agenda by providing advanced communications infrastructure across various sectors.
“This partnership marks another step in supporting smart real estate developments,” El-Touny said. “We look forward to contributing to the development of Vie Collective as a model for next-generation communities built on robust digital infrastructure and innovative services.”
The two companies said the agreement reflects a shared vision to integrate advanced technologies into the project from the earliest stages of development, ensuring its readiness to accommodate future digital services and reinforce its position as a modern mixed-use destination for both customers and investors.
Vie Collective, the first project launched by VIE Communities in Egypt, spans 186 feddans in a strategic location along the Middle Ring Road. The mixed-use development features villas, twin houses, townhouses, duplexes, apartments, as well as commercial, administrative, and hospitality components.
Construction work has already commenced through Sarh Construction, underscoring the company’s commitment to delivering the project according to schedule.
VIE Communities was established through an Egyptian-Emirati investment alliance comprising Future of Egypt Investment and Development, Glamour Jewelry, and Damas Real Estate, with planned investments totaling EGP 150 billion aimed at introducing a new model for integrated urban development in the Egyptian market.
