MSMEDA Propels Egyptian SMEs onto the Global Stage with 13 International Exhibitions in 2026

Speaking at the SMEs Summit on Saturday, Bassel Rahmy, CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), announced that the agency has successfully organized over 13 international exhibitions for Egyptian products this year. This aggressive global push is part of a broader strategy aimed at opening new export markets for SME owners and boosting the competitiveness of local products abroad.

Rahmy detailed that the global tour spanned key European, Arab, and African markets, including the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunisia, and Morocco. This geographic diversity reflects MSMEDA's commitment to widening the footprint of Egyptian goods globally.

Turning Showcases into Actual Sales: MSMEDA's strategy goes far beyond simple product displays. The agency actively organizes direct Business-to-Business (B2B) matchmaking sessions between Egyptian enterprise owners and foreign importers. The primary objective is to conclude tangible export deals, transforming exhibition participation from a marketing exercise into genuine commercial opportunities.

Rahmy emphasized that supporting exports remains a top priority for MSMEDA in the current phase, serving as a critical tool to increase foreign currency inflows and elevate the standing of Egyptian products in the global marketplace.
