Start 2026 Opens with 250 Companies and 3,000 Training Scholarships to Empower Egyptian Youth

Egypt’s Start 2026 Summit officially kicked off at the Grand Egyptian Museum on Friday, bringing together 250 companies and institutions and offering 3,000 training scholarships as part of a nationwide effort to equip young people with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in the labor market.

Organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the summit serves as one of the country’s largest platforms dedicated to youth employment, career development, and entrepreneurship, connecting students and recent graduates with employers, industry experts, and business leaders.

The event features a wide range of activities, including a training and career fair, professional guidance clinics, practical workshops, and interactive sessions designed to help participants explore career paths and gain hands-on experience. More than 70 career advisors are taking part in the initiative, providing mentorship and guidance to attendees.

According to organizers, the summit has attracted unprecedented interest from students across Egypt, with more than 50,000 young people registering through the online platform. Due to venue capacity constraints, attendance was limited to around 10,000 participants.

The event aims to bridge the gap between education and labor market requirements by providing direct access to internships, training opportunities, and employment pathways. Participating companies represent a broad range of sectors and are expected to offer thousands of opportunities to young talent.

Start 2026 is part of broader efforts to strengthen human capital development and enhance youth employability, reflecting Egypt’s growing focus on preparing future generations for a rapidly evolving labor market.
