TikTok deletes 11.7 million illegal videos during the first quarter of 2025

TikTok renews its commitment to promoting a safer digital environment in the Middle East and North Africa with more than 11.7 million illegal videos deleted during the fourth quarter of 2025

 

The TikTok platform announced the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the fourth quarter of 2025, renewing its ongoing commitment to providing a safe, positive and authentic digital environment for its global community. The platform explained that it deleted about 11,772,196 videos in the Middle East and North Africa region during the period from October to December 2025 for violating the community guidelines, in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Lebanon, reflecting TikTok's continuous investments in the fields of safety and confidence building during this period.

 

In parallel with these technical competencies, TikTok has intensified its efforts to protect younger age groups, by removing 23,875,879 accounts suspected of returning to people under the age of 13, and 14716,518 virtual accounts globally during the fourth quarter of 2025. This reflects this focus on providing experiences suitable for different age groups, along with intensive proactive supervision in the Middle East and North Africa region, as well as the platform's long-term commitment to protecting minors and ensuring safe digital experiences for them, while TikTok continues to promote a safe environment in which creativity can flourish with confidence through the thoughtful integration of the latest technologies and human expertise.

 

TikTok also continued to expand the scope of enforcement of policies for the violating LIVE broadcast globally. In the fourth quarter of 2025, 42,822,827 live broadcasts were suspended, an increase of approximately 32.9% compared to 32,242,750 live broadcasts suspended in the third quarter of the same year. During this period, the platform banned 358,160 live broadcast hosts, and proactively suspended 974,661 live broadcasts in Egypt, the UAE, Iraq and Lebanon, reflecting TikTok's commitment to maintaining the accuracy of supervision with the increasing expansion of automated decisions.

 

Egypt

 

During the fourth quarter of 2025, TikTok deleted 2,380,226 videos in Egypt for violating the community guidelines, and achieved a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, ensuring the monitoring and deletion of the vast majority of harmful and violating content before reporting it by users, and 98.4% of the violating content was deleted within 24 hours of reporting it, and the platform also restored 109,881 videos after successful resumes. In addition to short videos, the platform banned 126,095 hosts for live broadcasts, and stopped 357,652 live broadcasts for violating the platform's policies.

 

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

 

In Saudi Arabia, TikTok deleted 2,903,914 videos during the fourth quarter of 2025, and the proactive deletion rate was 99.9%, with 98.4% of the removal of the violating content within 24 hours of reporting, reflecting a strong and effective response within the platform, and the platform also restored 146,314 videos.

 

United Arab Emirates

 

In the UAE, TikTok deleted 787,133 videos during the fourth quarter of 2025, achieving a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, with 98.4% of the clips removed within 24 hours of reporting. In return, the platform restored 41,506 videos after successful resumpts. In terms of live broadcasting, TikTok banned 38,343 live broadcast hosts, and stopped 100,899 live broadcasts, for violating platform policies.

 

Iraq

 

In Iraq, a total of 4,691,021 video clips were deleted for violating community guidelines, with a proactive deletion rate of 99.9% recorded, with 98.4% removed within 24 hours of reporting. The platform also returned 148,663 videos during this quarter. With regard to live broadcasting, 181,918 live broadcast hosts were blocked, and 472,669 live broadcasts were stopped for violating the approved policies.

 

Lebanon

 

In Lebanon, TikTok deleted 1,009,902 videos during the fourth quarter, while maintaining a proactive deletion rate of 99.9%, and removing 98.4% of the violating content within 24 hours of reporting, while 23,953 clips were restored after the appeal, 11,804 live broadcast hosts were banned, and 44,241 live broadcasts were stopped for violating community guidelines.

 

Enforcement of monetization policies

 

TikTok continues to disclose LIVE safety data to highlight the measures taken to enforce monetization guidelines, which aim to reward content creators who provide secure, original and high-quality content. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the platform took measures that included issuing warnings and stopping monetization for 17,714,756 live broadcasts and 9,277,720 LIVE content creators worldwide for violating the monetization guidelines, while 3,75339 live broadcasts were restored during the same period.
