LG and MBC Shahid Launch Original Reality Series Celebrating Gratitude Through Technology

“Life’s Good Wayyak” brings together leading Arab personalities in a unique home-transformation journey powered by LG innovations

LG Electronics has partnered with MBC Media Solutions (MMS), the commercial arm of MBC Group, to launch “Life’s Good Wayyak”, a new original reality series set to premiere on MBC Shahid, the region’s leading Arabic streaming platform, in mid-June.

The four-episode production marks the first collaboration between LG and MMS and introduces a new approach to brand storytelling by shifting the focus from product promotion to authentic human experiences centered on gratitude, appreciation, and meaningful personal connections.

The series follows three prominent Arab personalities as they pay tribute to the people who played a pivotal role in their personal and professional journeys. Each participant secretly arranges a surprise home transformation for a mentor, family member, or close friend whose support contributed significantly to their success.

The show features Saudi comedian, rapper, and digital content creator Amy Roko, television host and content creator Mai Ibrahim, and former Saudi national football team star Naif Hazazi, bringing together entertainment, social influence, and sports to engage audiences across the region.

Throughout the first three episodes, the selected nominees will receive complete home makeovers powered by LG’s latest smart home technologies, including OLED evo AI televisions, WashTower laundry solutions, InstaView refrigerators, NeoChef microwave ovens, StanbyME lifestyle screens, UltraGear gaming monitors, and DualCOOL air-conditioning systems.

According to LG, the transformations are designed to demonstrate how technology can enhance everyday life while creating more comfortable and connected living environments for families.

The final episode will extend the initiative to the wider community. Following a social media campaign encouraging audiences to share stories about the people who make life better for them, one inspiring submission will be selected for a surprise transformation project.

Phil Jung, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa, said the initiative reflects the company’s long-standing “Life’s Good” philosophy, which focuses on using technology to improve people’s lives in meaningful ways.

“Through Life’s Good Wayyak, we wanted to move beyond product specifications and celebrate authentic human stories that resonate with communities across the region,” Jung said. “Our collaboration with MBC Shahid allows us to showcase the powerful role gratitude can play in strengthening relationships and improving lives.”

For his part, Jad Saab, MBC Shahid Growth Lead at MMS, said the series highlights the growing importance of purpose-driven content that enables brands to build deeper and more meaningful connections with audiences.

“Life’s Good Wayyak demonstrates how content-led storytelling can create authentic narratives that inspire, entertain, and foster a sense of community,” Saab said. “MBC Shahid provides the ideal platform to deliver this type of premium content to audiences across the Arab world.”

The initiative comes as brands increasingly explore original content formats that blend entertainment, technology, and emotional storytelling to engage consumers beyond traditional advertising channels.
