LG and MBC Shahid Launch ‘Life’s Good Wayyak’ to Celebrate Gratitude Through Smart Home Transformations

LG Electronics has partnered with MBC Media Solutions (MMS), the commercial arm of MBC Group, to launch Life’s Good Wayyak, a new original reality series on MBC Shahid that combines human storytelling with smart home innovation in a first-of-its-kind regional collaboration.

Set to premiere in mid-June, the four-episode series marks a strategic content partnership between LG and MBC Shahid, moving beyond traditional advertising to focus on personal stories of gratitude, appreciation, and meaningful human connections enabled by technology.

The program follows three well-known Arab personalities as they surprise the individuals who played a pivotal role in their personal and professional journeys with complete home makeovers powered by LG’s latest smart home technologies.

The series features Saudi comedian, rapper, and digital creator Amy Roko, content creator and television host Mai Ibrahim, and former Saudi national football team star Naif Hazazi. Each participant selects a mentor, family member, or close friend whose support contributed significantly to their success and collaborates with LG to transform their living space as a gesture of appreciation.

Across the first three episodes, viewers will witness emotional home renovation journeys that incorporate a range of LG’s premium products, including OLED evo AI televisions, WashTower laundry systems, InstaView refrigerators, NeoChef microwave ovens, StanbyME 2 lifestyle displays, UltraGear gaming monitors, and DualCOOL air conditioning solutions.

The final episode extends the initiative to the wider community. Following a social media campaign inviting people to share stories about individuals who have positively impacted their lives, one participant will be selected to receive a surprise home transformation inspired by their personal story.

According to LG, the initiative reflects the company’s broader “Life’s Good” philosophy, which focuses on using technology to improve everyday experiences and strengthen human relationships.

Phil Jung, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa, said the project was designed to showcase the emotional impact of gratitude rather than focusing solely on product features.

“At LG, we believe technology should make life more meaningful, connected, and convenient. Through ‘Life’s Good Wayyak’, we wanted to celebrate authentic human stories and recognize the people who help others succeed. Working with MBC Shahid and some of the region’s most influential personalities allows us to bring those stories to life in a compelling and inspiring way,” he said.

Jad Saab, MBC Shahid Growth Lead at MMS, described the series as an example of how branded content can create deeper audience engagement through purpose-driven storytelling.

He noted that Life’s Good Wayyak combines entertainment, emotional storytelling, and community engagement while leveraging MBC Shahid’s extensive regional reach to connect with viewers across the Arab world.

The launch comes as brands increasingly explore content-led strategies that emphasize audience connection and social impact rather than conventional marketing approaches. By integrating technology into real-life stories of home innovation through one of the region’s most widely watched streaming platforms.
