 Mohamed Kamel, General Manager of Cisco in Egypt, Libya, and Sudan, stated that cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have become inextricably linked, functioning as two sides of the same coin. Given the rapid evolution of digital technologies and the escalating volume and complexity of cyber threats, he emphasized that it is no longer possible to address one without the other.

Delivering his remarks during the opening session of the 5th Information Security and Cybersecurity Conference (CAISEC), Kamel explained that AI applications now play a pivotal role in analyzing massive datasets, identifying system vulnerabilities, and proactively detecting potential threats. This integration significantly enhances organizations' capabilities to protect their digital assets and manage risks with greater efficiency.

Digital Trust and Corporate Readiness Kamel affirmed that Cisco views "Digital Trust" as a foundational pillar for the success of any digital transformation initiative. He pointed out that the company actively collaborates with various public and private institutions to help them bolster their cyber readiness and build resilience against sophisticated, AI-driven cyberattacks.

A Call for Broad Partnerships Confronting the current wave of cyber challenges requires a unified front. Kamel added that navigating this landscape demands enhanced cooperation and partnership among governments, industry sectors, academic institutions, and the broader cybersecurity community.
