Mohamed El-Mofty, CEO of ICT Misr, stated that the Egyptian state has fully recognized that technology is no longer a luxury but the primary engine driving the era of development and digital transformation. He emphasized that building Egypt's "New Republic" is anchored in a comprehensive vision aimed at enhancing the nation's competitiveness, supporting innovation, protecting its digital assets, and establishing a sustainable infrastructure capable of keeping pace with global shifts.

Delivering his opening remarks at the Information Security and Cybersecurity Conference (CAISEC 2026), El-Mofty highlighted that Egypt has made tangible strides across various digital transformation tracks in recent years. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the country continues to play a pivotal role in bolstering the digital economy, building human capacities, and cementing its status as a regional hub for digital services.

The Role of CAISEC and the Human Element El-Mofty pointed out that the significance of the CAISEC conference lies in its role as a specialized platform to track the latest developments in cybersecurity. This platform is instrumental in safeguarding the gains of digital transformation and raising public awareness about information security. However, he firmly stressed that the human element remains the first line of defense against any cyber threats.

Corporate Milestones and Regional Expansion During his address, the CEO revealed ICT Misr's successful regional expansions and outlined the company's ambitious plans to further penetrate African markets and the Arab Gulf states. He reaffirmed the company's commitment to leading digital transformation across various sectors.

As reliance on technology grows exponentially, El-Mofty noted that cybersecurity has become more critical than ever. He underscored that investing in the future is not limited to acquiring modern technologies; it fundamentally begins with investing in people, who are the true driving force behind all progress and achievements.

Concluding his speech, El-Mofty extended his gratitude to Mr. Osama Kamal, praising his efforts in elevating the CAISEC conference into a leading regional platform with a global footprint. He commended the event's contribution to protecting the digital transformation journey and reinforcing Egypt's leadership in the Arab and African cybersecurity ecosystems.
