Egyptian Students Shine at Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 Global Finals in China

 Egyptian students achieved outstanding results at the global finals of the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026, held in Shenzhen, China, securing top international awards across multiple technology tracks and reinforcing Egypt’s growing presence in the global ICT and digital innovation landscape.

 

Egyptian teams won several Grand Prizes and top rankings in highly competitive categories that included cloud computing, computing, innovation, and networking, competing against participants from universities and institutions around the world.

 

In the Cloud Track, the Egyptian team that secured the Grand Prize included Abdelrahman Adel El Bahrway from Ain Shams University, Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Latif Talha from Beni Suef National University, and Mohamed Salah El-Din Abou El-Kheir from Mansoura University.

 

Another Egyptian team claimed the Grand Prize in the Computing Track, featuring Mahmoud Ahmed Alam El-Din from King Salman International University, Ahmed Omar Nwara from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Karim Gamal from Ain Shams University.

 

Egypt also secured First Prize in the Innovation Track through a team from Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), represented by Ebram Anwar, Beshoy Magdy Boutros, and Ahmed El-Khouly.

 

Meanwhile, the Egyptian team competing in the Network Track achieved Second Prize, with team members including Rami Khaled Kamal El-Din Moharram from the Arab Open University (AOU), Kyrillos Magdy Lotfy Habib from Assiut University, and Mohamed Khaled Eid Youssef from the Higher Institute of Engineering in Fayoum.

 

In addition to the student achievements, Mohamed Maher from October 6 University received the “Most Valuable Instructor” award, recognizing him as one of the world’s top trainers participating in the competition.

 

The competition also highlighted the efforts of several Egyptian trainers and mentors who supported participants throughout the preparation process, including Amir Sheteya, Omar Akram, Ahmed Othman, Samah Eissa, Mohamed El-Mogy, and Abdelrahman Abdel Nasser.

 

Participants and organizers also praised the continued academic support provided by Dr. Rasha Ismail, Dr. Mona Abdel Azim from Ain Shams University, and Dr. Abeer Tawakkol from Mansoura University.

 

The Huawei ICT Competition is considered one of the world’s leading technology competitions focused on developing digital skills, cloud computing expertise, networking capabilities, artificial intelligence knowledge, and innovation among university students.

 

Industry observers say the strong Egyptian performance reflects the growing capabilities of the country’s technology talent and the increasing focus on ICT education, digital transformation, and advanced technology training across Egyptian universities and institutions.
